| oh dear- i haven't blogged in awhile. no worries to my audience of one, i am back.
today i commented on a picture that I thought was a picture of a gay couple. Unfortunately, to my dismay, it was a man/woman. I cannot delete that comment now, after I was told they were man/woman, and not 2 men. Whoops. Sometimes it's really hard to tell!!
For instance, the other day, I thought this woman was heading into the men's bathroom. It turned out to be a skinny guy, with very long hair, and wearing skinny jeans and a chunky sweater.
What is a girl to do? I'm just going to keep my thoughts to myself, next time.

| As Mother Nature seems to have given NYC a good hand in the fortunes of wonderful weather, I decided to trek out to SoHo.
I seriously forgot how annoying that area is on a Saturday. Especially when the weather is nice. Also, tourist season (does that still exist in this economic climate?) seems to have picked up. How can you tell? You see hordes of people with unfolded maps of the city, wandering aimlessly trying to get to some place "cool" like a 3-floored Banana Republic or some other inane absurdity.
After browsing through a few stores, I couldn't help but feel so disappointed with the merchandise that is out these days. So many things are poorly made (yet marked up at least 60-70% of it's actual value) and I can't help but feel, "do I really need this?"
This is probably scary considering that I rely on people shopping (this keeps me employed, fyi) and I just don't want to get anything. (Quite rare.)
How about you guys? Have your shopping habits change because of the economy? Or because everything seems to be made pretty bad these days? Do you find yourself reconsidering unnecessary purchases?
I've definitely curbed back on the spending. Except my money now seems to be squandered on stuff that a 13 year old kid would buy. Candy and magazines.
